Van Alaam and Thi Alaam are the twins' snakes that share the same body. They are my original characters and were created based on the MC of Midheaven Winds of Ambition.
My artworks explore their relationship with their House_ Alaam, their friends and their journey to marry one of the regals.
Van, the one with two braids, was named after the common-used middle name of males in Vietnam. He has a more cunning, competitive and responsible personality. Meanwhile, Thi (the one with one braid) was named after the common-used middle name of females in Vietnam and had a more freely, easy-going and irresponsible personality. Their House, Alaam, is famous for talented soul magic users that gained their wealth and status.Although, they always want more and train their children strictly to archive their goals.
I mainly used clothes and patterns from Vietnamese culture to create their wardrobe.Their colour palette often sticks to brown, yellow and white to match with the canon description.
At first, I only make art about Van and Thi freely without thinking much about the plot. Later then, the more I worked on the Midheaven project, the more I was amazed by the inspiring world-building. The potential game mechanism can lead one pair of OC into many directions of fate.
